COVID Rental Assistance
If you have experienced any reduction in household income, incurred significant costs or experienced other financial hardship due directly or indirectly to the coronavirus outbreak.

State Unemployment Benefits
Iowa has implemented an expanded unemployment benefits program, with loosened restrictions, for all qualifying individuals affected by COVID-19, with benefits provided for up to 26 weeks and with checks expected to be issued within 7-10 days after the claim has been filed. Families First Coronavirus Response Act
New benefits are available as part of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, effective April 2, providing extended FMLA and paid leave benefits. More information can be found at:

Financial assistance through the Lifeline program is available to help those who qualify, to afford and maintain either telephone service or broadband internet access service, or bundled services. Lifeline participation enables Iowans to stay connected to jobs, family, community resources, and government and emergency services. Including:

Transitional housing or shelters
These sites may offer a place to stay as well as case management from a social worker. Other support in Scott County Iowa may be free food, meals, or basic needs such as clothing. The transitional housing programs provide individuals time to gain self-sufficiency.
